Debbie Qadri is best known for her community / public / collaborative applications of art mediums. Particularly the use of ceramics and mosaic to create murals where whole communities participate in the making of artworks for the mural.
The ceramic mural work has been collated as a blog on the following site and maps the progress of this trajectory since 2003.

This work also veers into different mediums, particularly for smaller short-term and ephemeral projects.
Her work is also supported by academic interests in the area. Debbie is currently undertaking PhD research at Victoria University into the area of community engagement in permanent public artworks as makers. She is also a founding member of the Public Pedagogies Institute.
